Data Protection Policy

DANON SNC is concerned with your privacy and the protection of your data.  When processing your data, we comply with Swiss law (FADP) and with EU regulations, in particular the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

We process your data when you contract with us in relation to an assignment, when you contact us by email and/or complete the contact form on our website or, for example, when you register to an event organized by us.

We process your data in strict confidence and we obviously do not sell or disclose your data for marketing purposes. We ensure to have put in place proper technical and organizational measures to protect your data.

2.         PROCESSING OF YOUR DATA THROUGH OUR WEBSITE

2.1       Contact form on our website

The data you may choose to transmit to us by using the contact form on our website will be stored by us to enable us to process your request. These data will not be transmitted without your consent to any third parties. These data will be stored by us unless and until you ask us to delete them or withdraw your consent to store the data or until the purpose for which the data were stored expires (for instance once your request has been processed). Any mandatory legal requirements, notably retention periods, shall be reserved.

2.2       Cookies

With a view to protect your privacy we have chosen to generate our website traffic statistics using the AWstat tool, which does not collect your personal data (such as your IP address).

3.         PROCESSING OF YOUR DATA IN CONNECTION WITH AN ASSIGNMENT

Where we are instructed in relation to an assignment, we are required to process some of your data for the following purposes:

  • Management or pre-contractual and/or contractual relationship;
  • Monitoring and management of your file;
  • Invoicing of our services and/or paying for services.

The types of information collected in this context include the following data:

  • Surnames, first names, postal address, email, telephone number;
  • VAT number;
  • Bank account details;
  • Personal information required for us to handle your case (including sensitive data).

We collect these data when you contact us verbally, in writing (through an engagement letter), through our website or by any other method.

We will only disclose such data to third parties when required to do so by law (or for the purposes of court proceedings). We process your data in strict confidence and store these data until you request us to delete them or withdraw your consent to store the data or until the purpose for which the data were stored expires (for example once the assignment has been performed). Any mandatory legal requirements shall be reserved.

4.         OUR SUBCONTRACTORS

We ensure that any potentially sensitive data is being processed in Switzerland. For this purpose, our subcontractors are in particular the following:

  • Website development and administration: Mediago Conseil SA, Avenue du Mont-Blanc 24b, 1196 Gland, Switzerland;
  • Website hosting: VTX Services SA, Route de Lavaux 101, 1009 Pully, Switzerland;
  • Accounting and business services: Vago & Urech SA, Avenue Reller 42, 1804 Corsier-sur-Vevey.

5.         SECURITY OF YOUR DATA

The personal data we process are stored securely and only accessed by those authorized to do so. We have implemented organizational and technical security measures in this respect. For example, to prevent loss of data, your data are backed up in encrypted form.

6.         YOUR RIGHTS

You have the following rights in relation to your personal data: right of access, right to rectification, right to deletion, right to restriction of processing, right to object, right to data portability, right to lodge a complaint with the relevant authority.

To exercise your rights, please send us your request by signed letter, with a copy of your identity document, to the following address: DANON SNC, Rue Centrale 10 1003 Lausanne, Switzerland. We will be aiming at responding to your request within 30 days.

Where you have consented to your data being processed, you may withdraw your consent to future processing at any time, without any justification, by sending a notice of withdrawal to the data controller using the contacts details mentioned under section 1 of the present policy.
